Building the “Woman-cave”
I have been obsessed with cocooning the past few months. I’ve been on shopping sprees online and when I went to the states, I bought a lot of things design-related – duvets, lamps, scented candles, tables, artwork, tchotchkes, etc. I’ve also had my space painted a muted dove grey.

Here is my little “woman-cave”. Yup, if guys have mancaves, I think women are entitled to their own little sanctuary of bliss. I’m a closet girly-girl. I think my style is akin to a Parisian apartment – minimalist with touches of both classic and contemporary furniture and art. And I also love me some mood lighting and scenting. This is the reason why I rarely go out nowadays. Hard to peel off one’s butt when everything is to your liking. HAHA!
I’ve also enjoyed browsing websites for inspiration. And in one of those random nights of surfing the internet, I saw this at Apartment Therapy.

I feel like this idea and I are soul mates. LOL. I love books and I love vintage Penguin covers. I’ve been super obsessive about this idea and even saw the same treatment on pinterest.

Of course I pinned it to my board called Home. Pinterest has been such an amazing source of ideas, too. That board probably is my favorite one on that site.
Anyway, back to these Penguin cover art. I tried to look for sites that sell them but no dice, unfortunately. I settled on buying these postcards from Amazon.

I was planning to make a collage out of them and have it framed but luckily, my friend Sunny suggested getting it blown up and printed by a local colored printer used by advertising agencies for billboards, marketing peripherals, etc.
And in under a week, I got this!! I’m so in love with it. It’s perfect.

I’m planning to hang this huge on right at the back of my headboard. Now, where to go for framing? Let me know if you guys have a good framer!

Hi I was wondering where you went to have the postcards blown up and printed? The printing looks smooth and fine.
Thanks!
